Candy Making: Wednesday, May 7th
6:30-8pm
$30 each, supplies included
$55 for both workshops

Let your sweet tooth take hold with this series of workshops by local chocolate and candy connoisseur, Jennifer Brooks. Utilize Jennifer's wealth of knowledge in this first session consisting of a chocolate making demonstration and lecture. Learn how to fill molds, create a ganache center, hand dip truffles, drizzle biscotti, and other chocolate making secrets. Participants will not only go home with some new knowledge of this decadent treat, but also three of Jen's personal recipes, and a sampling of her extraordinary chocolates.

It'd be a shame to be eating all of that chocolate without some candy and confections to balance it out. In this second workshop, Jen takes students through the process of making some classic sweets such as marshmallows, caramel, pate de fruit, her classic pecan butter crunch, and other creations to feed your sugar rush. Ask Jen about these different methods while tasting these year round and holiday specific sweets. Participants will go home with three great candy and confections recipes as well as a sampling of Jen's own chocolate covered marshmallows. Don't miss out on these decadent workshops!

Instructor Jennifer Brooks is the owner of 602 Chocolates which can be found every Saturday at the Phoenix Public Market. 602 Chocolates started with a product line created using Jen's training at the prestigious French Pastry School in Chicago, IL, where she graduated with a certificate in de L'Art de la Patisserie.Jennifer firmly believes in the production of high quality, all natural chocolates and confections and uses all of the small batch hands-on techniques she will be demonstrating here at MADE.
